Avatar Film poster

Shaz

Avatar Film poster

Overall i am really happy with how my film poster turned out and also i am pleased with myself because when i started t make this film poster i hardly knew how to use photoshop. Whilst editing this poster i have learnt how to use many of the tools such as the clone stamp tool, the swatch tools which I had never heard of.

I believe that the overall film poster has turned out exactly the way i wanted it to, by adding in the big eyes and the Avatar shaped nose really made a huge difference. If I was to do this again the only thing I would change is probably make the makeup a bit more vibrant in the first place and also the "hair" Id  either change the colour to black however I did notice a slight mistake and that was when I tried to clone stamp the hair over the "ear" it ended up looking slightly out of shape and tone so probably next time zoom in and spend more extra time to get it perfect.

Makeup

Makeup

It is amazing how Makeup can make a huge difference to someones appearance, for me it all started at the age of 16. Whilst growing up with 3 older sisters and watching them have a passion for makeup also made me want to do the same. Makeup made a huge difference to not only the way i look but also the way I feel i feel a lot more confident when I have makeup on. Many people used to ask me why do I wear a lot of makeup at such a young age, well the answer was simple because it makes me feel more confident and happy with the way I look. When I go out I always get asked one question which is " where are you from (background)" I am from Pakistan I was born and grew up in the U.K. Many people then ask me " coming from and Asian background are your parents not strict as to why you wear so much makeup". Many Asian girls in my culture are bought up with strict parents who do not allow their daughters to wear makeup at such a young age, some are not even allowed to wear it till their married. However like i said before I have 3 older sisters who are all in their 20's, now as they were growing up my parents were slightly strict at first but soon they realised as they got older that there is no harm in wearing makeup, how I see it, is you are only enhancing what you already have.
Many teenagers start to wear makeup at a very young age 82% girls wear makeup on a regular basis. I personally think these days teenagers are under an increasing amount of pressure from peers, magazines, movies, T.V and advertisements all showing airbrushed pictures trying to show how flawless you can look. A statement I hear all the time is " Teenagers only wear makeup to impress people" I completely disagree yes they may wear it on a certain occasion to impress a boy or something but generally I think people just like to look their best and try the latest products as well as experimenting to see how they can create different looks. I also believe makeup can help teenagers in a way simply because once your a teenager you do start to breakout a lot and one of the most horrible things for a girl is when they get acne all over their face which takes time to fade away and can also leave some scars. However there are hundreds of products which can cover this up and its all down to " makeup" you get certain primers which can cover up scars easily as well as concealers  but these are not both just made to cover a pimple they have other purposes to such as contouring and sculpting your face to make it look slimmer you can also hide any bags under your eyes which just make you eyes appear wide awake, so these products can help you with other things too. I am a huge fan of makeup I own quite a lot and in my free time I love to do makeup on my sisters and take photos of them  because i like to try different looks on myself and others for example arab smokey eyes with winged eyeliner is one of my favourite looks which is perfect for a night out it just give you these amazing big eyes especially with a pair of fake eyelashes. When I go out i get asked " how do you get your eyeliner flicks so perfect?" well simply its practise from the past years it take time and if your like me and you have a passion to do something you can do it. I done my makeup once for a photo shoot and I remember when I was looking back at the pictures my eye makeup looked a lot suttle than it should have this was purely because I was under heavy lighting now when your under a lot of lighting 60% of your makeup is reduced due to the light so whenever you see stars of any one on the T.V it may seem like they're wearing a lot but its not its just so that the camera can pick it up with the lighting. I asked a few friends recently what they wanted to know about the way I do my makeup and they simply said " take us through your everyday makeup routine". So I start fresh in the morning  cleansing my face making sure the whole surface of my face is clean. Then I simply moisturise my skin to make sure theres no dry skin and i have a good base Then I apply my face primer this is so that my foundation will sit in place all day long and wont move or make my face look to oily. Then I start with my eyes i conceal my eyelids and fill in my eyebrows with an eyebrow gel. Then taking my liquid or gel eyeliner I line my eyes create my flick, conceal under my eyes then do my bottom eyeliner and apply kohl pencil to my waterline. After this I conceal andy blemishes if i have any I highlight my nose, chin, upper lips and forehead with concealer this just makes these main areas stand out. Then apply my foundation Set it with loose powder, apply my mascara and lashes (sometimes) then my blusher and last but not least my lipstick/gloss.
My 5 Makeup tips
1. Making sure your foundation sits in place all day long- simply apply a good primer as a base after moisturising  your face then apply your foundation and make sure you set it with a loose powder straight away this will help your foundations from creasing too.
2. How to stop eyeshadow from creasing- Make sure you use a good eyeshadow primer I would recommend the Urban Decay primer potion, this is by far one of the best eyeshadow primers on the market.
3. How to make your lipstick last longer- Wen applying your lipstick apply one layer after this take a tissue and blot your lips over it then apply another layer trust me this makes a huge difference.
4.How to make sure you have the correct shade of foundation- Make sure you either get someone to test the foundation on you before you buy it or if you have have foundation on already take a small amount off from your neck and your jawline this is to make sure you when you test the foundation it blends in to both your face and your neck leaving you no harsh lines.
5. trying different makeup looks- Make sure when trying different looks such as smokey eyes or bright colours on the eyes try to use a more nude or suttle lipstick and blusher because if you have heavy smokey eyes with bright red lips and a hot pink blush it just completely ruins the whole looks and loses the main focus which is on the eyes.

Thank You for watching I hope you learnt a lot from my tips and make sure you do try them out. Thank You for listening and goodbye.
